Congratulations to CDM’s very own Team Tooth Fairies on raising over $16,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and finishing the Tinker Bell Half Marathon! The team worked tirelessly to raise money by hosting a bake sale and raffle as well as with donations from numerous supporters. Their efforts have helped them raise cancer awareness and work toward finding a cure. In addition, the tooth fairies prepared for their half marathon with Team in Training by logging in approximately 250 miles in the rain and heat, through the hills, valleys, and at the beach.
The Tinker Bell Half Marathon took place on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Disneyland Resort. The race began early in the morning and winded through both Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park as well as the streets of Anaheim. Alongside some very special Disney characters, a few CDM students attended the early-morning race to cheer on the team who were sporting their colorful fairy wings. At the finish line, each of the tooth fairies received their own race medal- a reminder of their hard work, dedication, and success.
